Hot water systems
Using an efficient solar water heater instead of an electric system saves around 4 tonnes of carbon dioxide emissions per annum which is as much as an average large car produces in a year. Carbon dioxide is one of the main gases responsible for the greenhouse effect.
Solar water heaters that use an efficiently controlled booster can reduce hot water bills by around 75%. This can add up to thousands of dollars saved over the lifetime of the system.
Heat pumps are also very energy efficient and are classed with solar systems for rebates and other government incentives. Heat pumps draw energy from the surrounding air and convert it to heat similarly to the way an air conditioner or refrigerator does. Air is drawn into the unit through an evaporator, where a cold refrigerant absorbs the air’s heat. The refrigerant then flows into a compressor, where it’s converted to a high-pressure, high-temperature gas. The gas passes through a condenser in the water tank, heating up the water and the refrigerant gas then cools and is cycled back to the evaporator.
Traditional storage water heaters cost money storing water 24hours a day. Instant hot water heaters heat water directly without using a storage tank therefore avoiding the heat losses of storage water heaters. They can operate on gas, LPG or electricity and because they only operate when you need hot water they save you big $$..and reduce carbon emissions. With instant hot water the hot water tap is turned on and cold water rushes through a copper pipe where an element heats the water instantly.

Solahart
Long before anyone had even heard of global warming, a pioneering Perth plumbing supplies company worked out that the sun was the best power source to heat water for Australian homes. So Solahart was born and it has been a market leader in solar hot water systems for more than 55 years. Over one million units have been manufactured here in Australia and sold in over 80 countries worldwide.
With Australia's abundant sunshine it makes great sense to get your hot water FREE from the sun.
A Solahart can save 50 to 85% of your water heating energy use and reduce your greenhouse gas emissions by as much as 3 tonnes every year - that's the equivalent of taking a 4-cylinder car off the road. In fact it's so good for the environment that there are huge government rebates and incentives available to help you make the switch.

One Earth Outlet
One Earth Outlet was born to fulfil the concept of a Green Supplier - supported by a team of experienced tradesmen. With the advantage of having fully licensed plumbers and gas fitters as sales consultants and installers, time and effort was put into obtaining practical plumbing products such as rain water and grey water tanks and systems, water saving products, valves, pumps, water treatment products and water generators. With one of the business partners being a fully licensed, BCSE-approved* electrical contractor they also decided to promote the highly efficient Conergy range of sustainable energy products including solar photovoltaic cells.
The ladies in the group were eager to get involved in the business by accessing and choosing a wide range of sustainable living products. Local suppliers of high-quality, environmentally-friendly home and personal products were favoured but, where the range was limited and the options unavailable locally, it was decided to minimise the carbon footprint of introducing these products from outside the state by buying in bulk to ensure transporting the goods was more energy effective. This also has the advantage of ensuring that lower prices are able to be passed on to One Earth Outlet customers.

MySolar
A solar photovoltaic system is different to a solar hot water system. Photovoltaic systems use sunlight to generate electricity for use. From their early application in satellites and space vehicles, solar photovoltaics are now used in a wide range of applications, from telecommunications, remote area power generation, to grid-connected homes and building in cities.
Grid-connected photovoltaic systems are starting to appear on more and more roof tops as a way to offset energy bills with clean, green electricity. Depending on the size of a photovoltaic system, excess electricity can be fed back to the public power grid which earns credits for the homeowner for acting as a mini power station.
